Data Management Plan & Dissemination & Exploitation Plan

Deliver training courses outlined in table 3.1.1

A series of Training Courses will be established for New Users. This will use a combination of established courses such as the PSI Proton Winter School in PBT and new courses where we have established from a “gap analysis” that there is a new user need. Open Nights programme commenced

INSPIRE will have an “Open Nights” programme for all of the PBT centres who wish to participate. This is an idea that has been pioneered by IFJPAN and allows the opportunity for the public to see around both the research room and the clinical facilities, ask questions and hear about the research being conducted within INSPIRE. 15 Discipline Hops and summer placements have taken place

Early career researchers (ECR) will also be offered the opportunity of “Discipline Hops” which will enable them to spend a period of 2 to 3 months at a PBT centre, either in the clinical environment or in clinical medical physics (or both), where they will also have the opportunity to take part in the JRA activities in that centre. “Discipline Hops” will also be available for ECRs who wish to experience the PBT industrial environment. Development and testing of advanced radiobiological phantoms / end-stations for RBE experiments along the Bragg peak using spot scanning or passive scattering

Develop tissue equivalent phantoms for monitoring dosimetry and changes in RBE along the Bragg peak

Develop materials which can be used as tissue equivalent for PBT and use 3D printing technology to build phantoms which can be used in round-robin experiments.Due Date (in months): 42

INSPIRE Access Gateway, Knowledge Hub, Help Desk and Open Access Portal

INSPIRE web portal now includes a Knowledge Hub for those interested in finding out more about PBT and for sharing best practice. Open Access Portal developed for sharing results and publications and information about INSPIRE through NA.Due Date (in months): 8
