Health

Europe is facing serious healthcare challenges, and the COVID-19 pandemic has shown the importance of coordinating health research and innovation across Europe.
Rising healthcare costs due to chronic illnesses like cancer, diabetes, heart disease, and brain disorders could lead to unequal access to healthcare for people across the European Union. Additionally, external factors like climate change and anti-microbial resistance pose new risks and threats to our ability to protect against infectious diseases.
The European Union is investing in research, technology and innovation to develop solutions to overcome those challenges and to increase access to a long and healthy life.

This page presents the latest CORDIS articles about these health research and innovations projects.
