Resultado final

NOVIMOVE transport model architecture and data collection

Deliverable 2.2 will collect and structure the data needed in the base NOVIMOVE logistics simulation model. Next to that, also the base NOVIMOVE logistics simulation model be developed, which should be able to develop the baseline scenario.

Development of the NOVIMOVE logistics innovations

The main objective of this deliverable is to develop two NOVIMOVE innovations, which are: the enhanced load factors through cargo reconstruction and the improved IWT port operations using mobile terminals and vessel trains.

Concepts and selection of innovative NOVIMOVE concepts

Up to six design concepts for added-buoyancy vessels and a dock ship and the conceptual design of the mobile terminal including variations for different applications will be described in this report. For the innovative vessels also limits of propulsion and stopping performance as well as the option of tailored hull girders aiming on weight reduction and the consideration of elasticity will be included.

Development of the NOVIMOVE serious transport game

This deliverable objective is to develop a validated NOVIMOVE serious game which will be off use to generate insights both by students as well as current and future stakeholders of the working of the NOVIMOVE development for both the current and future stakeholders

Technical verification results

Here the concepts for the innovative vessels and mobile terminal concepts will be analysed, improved and ranked. The report will contain information on relevant rules and regulations, design and structural integration and the results of computational simulations and scale model tests.

2nd Draft plan for the exploitation and dissemination of results (PEDR), including stakeholder update.

Report including the updated version of the PEDR document and an elaborate update on the development of the stakeholders forum

Economic and environmental performance of the NOVIMOVE concepts

The developed solutions will be modelled for the simulations in WP2 including estimations for CAPEX and OPEX. Also the environmental performance will be compared for the different vessel solutions.

Detailed requirements of the NOVIMOVE transport model

This deliverable has the objective to provide a state of the art of the current challenges in the IWT container logistics along the Rhine-Alpine corridor. It should also determine the boundaries and the data needs of the NOVIMOVE logistics model. And finally, the main PIs to assess the NOVIMOVE innovations are to be determined.

Final plan for Exploitation and dissemination of results (PEDR), including the MARCOMM plan

This deliverable consists of the final version of the PEDR, and the MARCOMM plan as outlined below. The NOVIMOVE project team will prepare plans for marketing communication actions (MARCOMM) to support marketing of the project innovations such as smart navigation, dynamic scheduling of bridges and locks, to raise awareness in all market segments and corresponding stakeholders and the general public. The MARCOMM contains activities scheduled throughout the project period (2020-2024) and during the follow-up period (2023- 2026) that address the following issues:•Long-term strategy and objectives, primary (geographic) target markets;•Target audiences; •Communication strategy, key messages and “story telling”;•The actions during the project and the follow-up period: print, film, on-line, exhibitions, other events.

Operational verification results

This deliverable will discuss the operability of the concepts for selected bottlenecks and sea-ports based on representative cargo flows. Operational guidelines for the most promising designs and mobile terminal solution will be prepared.

Detailed requirements for innovative vessel and cargo handling concepts

This report will contain the results of the studied IWT fleet, environmental boundary conditions, representative journeys and selected bottlenecks in low water periods as well as logistic requirements for operations in sea-ports.

Assessment of future scenarios

The NOVIMOVE developments are tested by applying the complete NOVIMOVE transport simulation model, where the new NOVIMOVE innovations are tested against the benchmark scenario of D.2.3.

Report on realisation of communication tools and website

A website will be built as the NOVIMOVE main official information channel and business card coveringConcise information on the project funding scheme exploitable results objectives partners and testimonials results of meetings workshops and serious gaming sessionsOutline of activities registration forms for intermediate and main events innovation management support request form intermediate results main publications links to other interesting websites Facebook of people behind the project contact detailsUseful documentation links and references in downloadable pdf filesFurthermore this deliverable will include reporting on the realisation of the other necessary tools for dissemination and communication
