Therefore, the identification of target audiences will be faced in this initial stage. In addition to this, it will detail the quantitative indicators – including the weighting factors – that will be calculated to assess the impact on the media. A list of publications that comply with the model adopted by the consortium will be found in the document.

This first version corresponds to the advances before pilot exercise II starts.

Pilot Stage I – Preliminary studiesThis deliverable will consist of a report with directives and recommendations to be used as inputs for the initial phase of development of the software platform, the application for handheld devices and the multisensory activities. The report will be elaborated by the experts with the information gathered from the visits to the museums in the UK described in T6.1.
Final recommendations, guidelines and policy briefingAfter completing the work to be developed in the three stages and sharing the experiences with the different profiles involved in the project, as well as with the end-users, this report will detail the recommendations and guidelines resulting from the overall experience. This document is intended to be used as reference to promote inclusion in innovative cultural heritage and inform future EU policies.
Report on system integration – 3rd versionThis is the final version of the report on the integration once the pilot exercises have been completed. In addition, a brief user guide will be included in this report so as to give assistance on how to use the application.
Initial recommendations and guidelinesIn this report the recommendations and guidelines to deal with people with differences and difficulties associated with perception, memory, cognition and communications will be summarised to facilitate the initial contact for those not familiar with the target groups.
Pilot Stage II – Validation of initial developmentsThe first version of the software platform, the application for the handheld devices and the multisensory activities will be tested during the visits organised to each one of the museums of the consortium and the results will be included in this document. The same report will compile the contributions from all the participating museums. These results will be used to produce the final versions and prototypes.
Report on internal proceduresThis report will detail the internal procedures adopted for the correct development of the project. This includes the corporate identity, review process, communication protocols or appointment of the members of the different committees among others. It will also refer to the quality standards and best practice policies agreed by the consortium. This information will be subsequently updated in the Management Reports that will be submitted to the EC after each Reporting Period.
Report on system requirements for handheld devicesIn this report the characteristics, features and functionalities of the most popular handheld devices will be summarised and compared. This in-depth analysis will allow taking a decision on the requirements to build the applications. Therefore, this document will serve as reference to define the overall strategy regarding the implementations for smartphones and tablets.
Evaluation of pilot exercisesThis deliverable will critically assess the tools, applications and activities developed and tested in the museums. It will include recommendations to improve their performance, appearance, usability, etc. based on the experiences related to the pilot projects. We will take advantage of recorded audio and video, questionnaires, eye-trackers, etc. Findings of the participatory research groups will be shared via a network of accessible wikis.
Pilot Stage III – Final validationSimilarly to D6.2, in this report the opinions, impressions, feedback from the users but also the educators with respect to the developed tools will be collected. Again, the contributions from all the participating museums will be integrated.
Report on system architecture definitionAll the specifications regarding the hardware needed for the software platform will be included in this report. Furthermore, the communication protocols between the different elements of the system as well as the way of access and aspects related to the security will also be fully detailed in this document. It will also include external sources providing digital cultural assets.
Test setup – 3rd versionTaking advantage of the experiences during the pilot exercises, this report will outline different strategies, initiatives or experiences that will favour the creation of an innovative ecosystem in cultural heritage with the developed tools. Final, revised setup after incorporating improvements based on feedback.
Report on the results of demonstration activitiesThis report will list the events held with the participation of stakeholders and end-users. Multimedia resources will be attached to the original document as well as the materials employed for the training courses. Feedback from the participants will be also included and evaluated by the partners involved.
Test setup – 1st versionIn this first report, the progress of WP5 will be commented, paying special attention to the initiatives that the consortium has decided to implement after the first pilot exercise. Besides, it will include an initial test setup consisting of: (i) preliminary reliefs designed and produced with the software of task T5.1 (6 reliefs, one per museum), (ii) preliminary relief printer mediums (7 mediums, one per museum, one in the lab), (iii) preliminary setup of the tactile audio guide (7 setups, one per museum, one in the lab) and (iv) authored interactive content for the tactile audio guide (for the 6 reliefs).
Communication plan, activities and publications – 3rd versionThis last version of the communication report will contain a complete list of activities and publications for the three years of execution. The impact will be critically assessed based on the evolution of the indicators, identifying successes and failures. Besides, new actions will be envisioned to ensure the continuation of the collaboration between partners to exploit the results.

Strategy for on-site demonstrationsThe strategy adopted for the on-site demonstrations is presented before most events take place. It will deal with the activities to plan, how the practical applications will be shown to the visitors, dates, groups, staff in charge, advertisement, expenses, etc. Initial contacts will be made before as part of T7.1
Description of the developed gamesThis deliverable includes Unity3D created games that can be run on web through Unity3D Web Player. Games will focus on overcoming specific impairments for each of the identified groups providing them with different (best suitable) gaming and educational mechanics which will be identified together with the research partners in this Project.
Communication plan, activities and publications – 2nd versionThe updated version of the initial report is complemented by a summary of the activities and publications that have been executed/published during the previous year. Based on that statistics, the strategy will be accordingly modified or not. The addition of new initiatives will be always possible if they comply with the clauses regarding knowledge management and intellectual property. Besides, the strategy for communication actions concerning demonstration activities will be drafted in this report. Methodologies, requirements, audiences, selection criteria, dates, places, advertisement and other aspects will be included.
Report on system integration and testing – 3rd versionThis is the final version of the report on the integration once the pilot exercises have been completed. The final results of the website will be included in this document in conjunction with a fully detailed user guide.
This deliverable includes the code generated for the implementation of the main functionalities to be inserted in the software platform. In addition, it will focus on video component for integration of sign language 3D avatar translations into the general software platform and will contain the content translations provided by the pilot exercises.
Software code with functionalitiesOn the one hand, this deliverable will consist of a software package containing the generic functionalities common to all museums related to cultural heritage intended for both smartphones and tablets using the Android operating system. On the other hand, it will also focus on the specific functionalities developed in collaboration with the participating museums (e.g. the development of an application for indoor guidance based on augmented reality) to enrich the experiences of people with differences and difficulties associated with perception, memory, cognition and communication.
Graphical interfaceThis deliverable will cover the part of the software platform dedicated to the presentation of the content and appearance. It will summarise the work starting with the design stage up to the final versión.
Graphical user interfaceThe software code relative to the implementation of the graphical user interface developed under task T4.2 will be available at the end of this task.
The result of task 5.1 is a single application combining the functionality of previous prototypes in a single user-interface, and improved with extended modelling tools.
Test setup – 2nd versionIn this second version of the report the progress of task T5.4 prior to the beginning of Stage III will be summarised together with an improved test setup incorporating all results of the previous evaluations, consisting of: (i) revised versions of the reliefs of the same images, using the updated software of D5.3 (6 new reliefs), (ii) improvements, extensions, and necessary repair of the 7 printer mediums, (iii) improvements of the 7 tactile audio guide setups (updated software and setup; hardware if necessary) and (iv) improved and extended content for the tactile audio guide (for the 6 reliefs).
Improved context-sensitive tactile audio guideA functional prototype of the context-sensitive tactile audio guide, consisting of sensor setup, tracking software, interaction system and authoring software.
The first version of the DMP will be discussed during the kick-off meeting and drafted by the third month of execution. It will concentrate on the identification and description of and the strategy for long-term archiving and preservation.
Data management plan - 2nd versionThe final version will will go deeper into aspects such as the implementation of sharing mechanisms, the interaction with stakeholders, the inclusion of new data sets (if any), the interoperability with other standards and exploitation actions. Besides, it will summarise all previous agreements and decisions and the impact on external users – in particular those participating in demonstration activities in WP5, pilot exercises in WP6 and communication actions in WP7. The focus will be on long term preservation.
Apart from the website, this deliverable will also include a report on the different sections and the structure and technology behind the site. Although the first version of the portal will be ready (and open to the Internet users) during the kick-off meeting, the partners will also provide feedback on both form and content until a final and stable version is consolidated.
