MeteoIO docker image and OGC WPS service (T2.3)

A software component that will be used to offer self-help-service todata providers generating FAIR meteorological, oceanographical andglaciological data. This is developed for usage in D2.3, but will beoffered to anyone that would like to set up such a service.

Report of Briefing Meeting to inform MEPs and European Officials on Arctic topics of emerging priority (T7.3)

A policy briefing will be organised for MEPs and European officials on topics of emerging priority, relevant to Arctic PASSION’s work and in line the European Arctic policy. Topics will be set in communication with policymakers and our Advisory Panel, and the interactive briefing (held either in person or online) will include opportunity for prior input and follow-up

Report on the interoperability status of Copernicus services in light of EU regulations and Polar Data System Architecture (T2.4)

A document providing an evaluation of the Copernicus services data management interoperability. It is used for development of the Arctic Window and will be analysed in the context of the Polar Data System Architecture effort of the SAON/IASC Arctic Data Committee

Lake Ice Service readiness report (T4.8)

A report describing the status of the Lake Ice Service system

Applications for GEO initiative to GEO Program Board (T8.1)

The deliverable will provide the gathered information on Arctic PASSION actions in a document that is necessary for SAON to apply for the GEO initiative status

Disturbance map for panarctic, INTERACT sites, and WP4 local communities with permafrost disturbance trends from EO data (T4.2)

Digital maps of disturbances at different levels (panarctic, INTERACT sites, WP4 local communities) will be made available through open access archives and a dedicated data visualization portal allowing access and usage of the maps and underlying data for scientific and non-scientific users.

Report on Side Event at Arctic Council SAO meeting with AC WGs and PPs (T7.2).

A briefing will be organized as a side event at meetings of AC Senior Arctic Officials for Chairs and Executive Secretaries of the six AC Working Groups as well as representatives of the PPs on the outcomes of Arctic PASSION work. The topics will be selected based on priority issues in the Arctic Council, particularly those under the AC chairmanship

1. Policy Brief for Sub-national Decision-makers (T7.4)

Policy brief for sub-national decision-makers produced annually, with an overview of linkages between Arctic observation systems and sub-national level of policy-making.

Description of a versatile benefit assessment approach and arctic resilience societal indicators for the Arctic observation system (T5.1)

A report will describe the tool cluster based on alternative context-sensitized coherent valuation approaches and describe what tool selection will be activated for different cases. The report will further include the outcomes of virtual workshops with PS participants and their stakeholders

Project Stakeholder Engagement Plan (T9.3)

A plan to optimize the stakeholder engagement by coordination of stakeholder events organized by different WPs

Development of community Event Databases and stakeholder workshops (T4.1)

Community-based Event Databases document and highlight the main IKLK priorisations over the 8-9 key communities. Stakeholder workshops review and assess the main observational context and appropriate use of IKLK. Central observations will contribute to the pan-Arctic monitoring of changes

Project Dissemination and Exploitation Plan (T9.2)

Strategy and plan guiding dissemination and exploitation of the results of the Arctic PASSION

Reports on WMO GTS datasets made available for non-GTS connected users and on new datasets ingested into WMO GTS based on user requirements (T1.2)

WMO is exchanging information for operational purposes globally through a private network called WMO Global Telecommunication System (GTS). Information on free and open data extracted from this system and made available for the scientific community (access point in WP2), will be documented as a contribution from the community to the global efforts of WMO.

Report on missing elements for an improved Arctic observing system (T1.1)

This report reviews existing observation systems with a special emphasis on Indigenous knowledge and community-based monitoring efforts across the region and points to gaps in themes, areas, regions and issues that may be missing at present.

Regional sea ice information tool developed (T4.3)

An interactive visualization webpage for sea-ice (extent and area) time series is developed and accessible online. It is based on Ocean and Sea Ice Satellite Application Facility (OSI SAF) sea-ice data, and offers both hemispheric and regional indexes

Guideline document detailing best practices for GTN-P permafrost borehole observations based on GTN-P research community input in line with WMO ECV requirements and framework.

Instigate a new Task Group on Observations in the EU Polar Cluster (T6.2)

This new task group, in collaboration with EU PolarNet 2, will enable increased collaboration between applicable projects (EU funded polar observation projects within the Cluster)

Project Education and Training Plan (T9.4)

Strategy and plan guiding education and training in Arctic PASSION

Synthesis reports on the status of the Arctic Data System (based on the activities of ADC and working groups as well as Polar Data Forum activities) (T2.2)

A contribution to the SAONIASC Arctic Data Committee activity of mapping the Arctic Data Ecosystem Focus is on interoperability between data centres both at the discovery use and semantic levels

Website with protocols, planning and reporting tools for Long-term Arctic Environmental Observational Nodes (T1.2)

A website providing sampling and analysis protocols as well as planning and reporting tools will be established. The contents will be based on experience and materials from the Pacific Distributed Biological Observatory System, dialogue with European and other Arctic marine observational institutions, and existing protocols from MOSAIC, SAS, Nansen LEGACY and other sources

Website with data information, description of available and emerging web services and user client to find data regardless their location and regular updates on datasets that have been FAIRified (T2.5)

An interactive entry point to the data catalogue containing a search interface basic visualisation of datasets offered through services allowing this guidance documentation on how to make data discoverable through the catalogue and use the machine services

Data Management Plan (living document revised annually) (T2.1)

A living document covering datasets generated, how they are managed, made accessible and preserved and by who.
