Metabolic profiling is a new technology, which allows an unbiased view at as many metabolites as possible using hyphenated MS-technologies such as GC-MS. It thus allows to have a broad look at metabolism and is therefore very well suited within this project to analyze the effects of the modification of various metabolic activities with respect to anther development.
Though generally established the method need special development for each sample type (matrix). The method developed is of general use for similar systems.
