Policy Brief

The goal of this “Policy brief” is to supply a concise summary of violent extremism and radicalisation and connected policy options and recommendations, on the basis of the project’s findings. It will be updated continuously and finalised in the last month of the project.

Techniques and Services for Monitoring Recruitment and Propaganda

This deliverable describes the methods for detecting and monitoring recruitment and propaganda with radical purposes. The tool will complement the tool provided in D4.2, enabling the classification of recruitment and propaganda intentions. The deliverable will also describe the technical architecture.

Comprehensive review

This report will be designed for policy makers, educators and civic organisations engaged in training to be practical, present findings clearly, and help inform improved educational and training policies and interventions. The report will be published in English, Dutch, German, Italian, Spanish, French, Polish and Romanian.

Exploitation plan

Report that describes the Exploitation strategy which will be updated with contribution from all partners during the project’s lifetime. The report will be upload at M32.

Techniques and Services for Identifying Radicalism and Extremism in Social Media

Description of the methods for detecting and monitoring radicalism and extremism in social media in order to evaluate the effectiveness of counter-narrative campaigns. The deliverable also describes the software services developed for this purpose.

Analysis of the affective structure of radicalising messages and the ‘affective ecology’ created around these - ranging from horror, disgust to humour.

Analysis of radical groups and radical propaganda from a gender perspective

This deliverable summarizes the results of the participatory and desk research of the factors behind radical propaganda from a gender perspective.

Guide for Teachers and Schools

A short hands-on guide for teachers and schools to help them addressing radicalisation, polarisation and social inclusion including consolidated lessons, best practices, tips and links to online resources and supporting materials.

Training and Education Needs Analysis Report

A report designed for trainers, educators and educational institutions and practitioners consolidating needs identified through T5.1 and 5.2 summarising findings from the ‘Training and Education Laboratory’ participatory community consultation Case Studies, interviews, and survey to be published in English, Dutch, German, Italian, Spanish, French, Polish and Romanian.

Building resilience and prevention in schools

Electronic report in English reporting results of the online survey and systematize good practices and key issues on challenges related to polarisation and radicalisation issues at school. The report will also be used by the schools as recommendatory highlights useful to support teachers in dealing with radicalisation and extremism in class.

Electronic white paper in English drawing operative insights coming from participatory workshops, working groups with NGOs and focus groups with municipal representatives. The document will focus on the concrete solutions put in practices connecting the three levels of analysis considered

Developing a model for understanding the pathways of extremism and radicalisation

Report illustrating the multi-dimensional model of extremism and radicalisation developed under T2.6 as well as providing a set of indicators for detecting extremism and radicalisation.

Report on the ecological context of radicalisation, polarisation and alienation
