Two seminars organised for higher level university students using AspenPlus as a tool to evaluate and develop biomass co-refining. The seminars will be organised back to back with petroleum refining conferences such as Hydrocarbon processing or European Refining Technology Conference (ERTC).
Delivery of 300 kg of fractionated bio-liquidThe aim is to demonstrate the production of 300 kg of low water content pyrolysis bio-oil. Subsequently separation of lignin molecules from the sugars will be carried out using solvent extraction. Action of achieving this deliverable to be made Public. Related to task 2.1
Delivery of 300 kg of clean bio-liquidThe aim is to demonstrate the production of 300 kg of low ash pyrolysis bio-oil. Two days continuous operation of the fast fluidized-bed pilot operation is planned to accomplish this. Action of achieving this deliverable to be made Public. Related to Task 2.1
Final workshop4REFINERY will organise a final workshop coinciding with the final project meeting in 2021 The workshop will be organised to engage with the relevant stakeholders to promote the results and exploitatoinRelated to task 61
Delivery of fuels obtained by Co-HDO and Co-HTAn analysis of the fuels obtained by Co-HDO (amounts and quality) and Co-HT: 50-100kg diesel of wide-ranging bio-content will be produced. Besides standard diesel properties, de-oxygenation efficiency of the Co-HT will be analysed. The results will be made available on demand on the 4Refinery web site and will be further integrated into the public white paper to be delivered at the end of the project Relatred to tasks 3.3 and 3.4
Delivery of 5-10 kg of HTL bio-liquidThe aim is to produce HTL bio-liquid according to the optimized settings as developed in the project. Approx 1 week of processing will be required for this. Related to task 2.2
Delivery of 1-3 L each of selected HTL bio-liquid fractions for upgradingThe aim is to provide HTL bio-liquid from the selected feedstocks for upgrading. Production campaigns will last 1-2 days for each feedstock and process setting. Related to task 2.2
Delivery of 200 kg of catalytic bio-liquidThe objective is to operate of the fast fluidized-bed pilot using pine sawdust as feedstock to produce about 200 kg of bio-liquid. The catalytic pyrolysis bio-liquid will serve as a reference to the thermal bio-liquids employed extensively within the project and will be the basis of further upgrading and refining within WP3. Action of achieving this deliverable to be made public. Related to task 2.1
Workshop on biofuel LCAOrganisation of a workshop on biofuel LCA AAU at the SETAC-LCA conference in 2018. The objective is to promote and present the project’s results and activities. Related to task 6.1
Delivery of 50-60 kg of HTL bio-liquid for baseline upgrading activitiesThe aim is to provide 50-60kg of high quality HTL bio-liquid for upgrading. Approx 2 full weeks of continuous operation of the CBS1 continuous pilot scale HTL facility is planned to accomplish this. Related to task 2.2
A letter that all participants will ensure that appropriate health and safety procedures conforming to relevant local/national guidelines/legislation are followed in order to avoid harming the staff involved in the project.
Public report on scenariosThis has the same goals as the previous deliverable. This will be a summary of D.1.7. Related to task 1.5
Report on public risk perception of biofuelsReport with guidance on dissemination of knowledge on biofuel production, based on screening of public risk perception and public acceptance of biofuels. Related to task 4.3
The 4REFINERY website will be developed to provide an overview of the objectives and programme of work, to track its progress and present relevant results of individual work packages. The website will be publicly accessible and will serve as a useful source of information for the RTD audience and other stakeholders. Relatead to task 6.1
Communication marketing materialCompletion of a dissemination and communications strategy and visual identity of the 4REFINERY project. Includes logo posters and a project brochure that provides the wider audience with the key project messages. Related to task 6.1
