The report will include an assessment of the short-term impacts of the Communication and dissemination plan. It will also include the longer-term theory of change in which the project is framed.Deliverable 2.4 is linked to Task 2.4.

Research and innovation needs expressed by stakeholder

This document will provide the census of research and innovation needs expressed by all types of stakeholders (i.e. industry stakeholders, research stakeholders, environment agencies) in view of more biodiversity-friendly transport infrastructures and modes, regarding the stages of planning, design of new infrastructures and the adaptation of existing infrastructures (to get their point of view on social and environmental needs and requirements for infrastructure innovation). D4.1 will also gather information provided by publications produced by stakeholder clusters (national, European and international levels) on the same issue. Deliverable D4.1 is linked to Task 4.1.

Allocation of innovative solutions to future scenarios

The report will analyse the development of scenarios and the innovative solution allocation. A joint meeting between WP3, WP4 and WP5 will be organized to prepare this work. The scenarios will be reviewed collectively and validated in a participatory workshop with internal and external stakeholders. The report will be prepared in Task 5.3.

Strategic research action programme

This document will provide a series of research initiatives that should be taken and achieved in the short (5 years), medium (10 years) and long (20 years) term, in order to support the development and implementation of innovative solutions for more-biodiversity-friendly transport infrastructures in Europe. Consideration for short to long term societal and environmental challenges, along with the size of knowledge gaps today, will be the main factors of the agenda. D4.2 will have received a significant first level of endorsement from stakeholders. It will include a pan-European value section, but also possible regional-specific parts.Deliverable D4.2 is related to Task 4.3.

Status of national policy, legislation and implementation tools and recommendations for the integration of the EU SGI into transport infrastructure development

The report is going to include the results of the gap analysis the status and needs of the legislative framework in support of the integration of the EU SGI into national transport infrastructure development and will provide relevant recommendation for legislative harmonization This report will feed into the SRDAThe report will be produced in Task 51

EU funding opportunities and proposals for cross-sectoral topics

The report will present the mapping of funding sources and proposals for future cross-thematic funding. It will propose new tools and methodologies for engaging more actors at national and European scale and adapting EC’s decision process for funding attribution with respect to optimal usage of cross-sectoral topics and link these with the R&D priorities of the SRDA.The deliverable is linked to Task 5.3.

Online handbook ‘Good practice for mainstreaming biodiversity on transport'

Online platform providing guidelines and examples of good practice to be applied by practitioners in planning, design and operation of transport infrastructure. Technical drawings, infographics and other resources will be included in the online handbook that will also be an interactive platform to enhance users’ participation and future stakeholder cooperation. This deliverable will be prepared as part of the activities of Task 3.2.

Policy briefs

The policy briefs will be developed by relevant participants to the project, based on the needs identified as part of the Exploitation plan, under the lead of WP2. They will build on content developed by WP3, WP4 and WP5.This deliverable is one of the outputs of Task 2.4.

Strategic Research and Deployment Agenda (SRDA)

Strategic Research and Deployment Agenda (SRDA) (M36): The SRDA can be deployed at multiple scales, within the EU research framework programme, or by other regional, national or local programmes, in order to improve the knowledge-base on infrastructure and biodiversity. Development and use of the European Defragmentation Map

The document will detail planning methods and standards developed for efficient avoidance of fragmentation and for integrative mitigation and compensation.Identified criteria and principles for recording, evaluation, prevention and compensation fragmentation will comprise all planning levels (SEA, EIA, IR), taking into account regional differences in Europe and considering as well special ecological functions of animal mobility and functions of transport related habitats as fauna corridors. The report is one of the outputs of Task 5.2.

Communication and dissemination plan

The plan will identify the main messages and actions that need to be carried out for communication on the project, and dissemination of its outcomes towards various stakeholders. It will be developed by M3, and implemented from M4 for the whole duration of the project. It will be regularly reviewed and updated by the task leader in agreement with the Coordination team and with the support of the Advisory Group. The deliverable is linked to Task 2.1.
