The impacts of lifestyle changes on climate change mitigation pathwaysis the outcome of Task 6.4 and includes the results of system models with enhanced representations of lifestyle changes with respect to future emissions, energy, economic and sustainability indicators. Crucially, the quantified impacts rely on the empirically-verified, observed changes in lifestyles that are realizable under the goal-setting network. This deliverable comes out in M32 to allow WP7 to include its results in subsequent policy analyses. The deliverable will be a major interdisciplinary scientific output of the project and will form the basis of academic publications in high-ranking journals, like Nature Energy and Nature Climate Change.
Press ReleasesThe Deliverable provides a collection of all press releases that were sent out during the project runtime. It includes examples of media reports when these press releases led to media reports about the project. Each time a press release is completed, it will be posted on the project website.
Follower Cities Engagement and Networking ReportReport of the full list of FCs who supported CAMPAIGNers activities, description of the joint activities with the FCs and reporting their key achievements regarding the recruiting of citizens or implementation of policies.
CAMPAIGNers Monitor and user guideThis report presents the weblink where the Monitor can be accessed (free of charge) and provides guidance how to use and interpret the show results. The Monitor is released in M13 and will be continuously improved during the project runtime.
Report on Target lifestylesThe report provides descriptions of targeted carbonneutral lifestyles for clusters of citizens as feasible alternatives to todays habits of high GHG intensity lists associated cobenefits and discusses how to avoid unintended consequences Global target lifestyles are defined as well as specific ones for relevant groups in each Lighthouse City A selection of target behaviours are flagged as priority as a key input to Task 32 for developing the first round of LifestyleChallenges
User guide for CAMPAIGNers app"This deliverable will provide all information needed to use the app, and includes a ‘how to’ video for setting-up citizen-driven #LifestyleChallenges."
Scope of actions to reduce GHG intensity of daily life in Lighthouse CitiesThe report lists the available policy levers that can be used to influence daily lifestyles to help meet the Paris Agreement goals of the LCs, focussing on: habits of high GHG intensity, areas with available policy actions and related knowledge gaps.
Addressing lifestyle transformation in climate related long-term policy strategiesPolicy report outlining EU and national level policy advice and lessons learned from the CAMPAIGNers project with specific policy recommendations of how to overcome the societal, market-related, infrastructural and regulatory barriers to citizens’ engagement in the framework of the European Green Deal and fostering lifestyle transformation. As such, it is the final output of CAMPAIGNers that directly targets EU and national level policy makers.
Fundraising Plan & GuidelinesThe report a. summarizes which fundraising activities were carried out (started) during the project runtime and b. defines a plan for the post-project fundraising activities, along with Ethics Guidelines for such collaborations.
Policy brief: Advice for a citizen-centred and climate-supportive utilisation of the COVID-19 Recovery FundThis brief will summarise the early findings of the project about the key questions what can policy makers consider when deciding on the use of the financial resources to stimulate citizens economic activities in a climatefriendly way and reinforce positive habits learned during the COVID19 pandemic
The impact of target behaviours on citizens' emissions"The algorithms used to provide citizens feedback on their changing CO2 footprint when they adopt more climate-friendly lifestyles (i.e. succeed in #LifestyleChallenges) are regularly updated in the software system from M10 onwards. The algorithms will include a SDG feeding/contribution board system. This report documents these and summarizes impacts."
The CO2 footprint modelThe report provides the models for the CO2 footprint as implemented in CAMPAIGNers app software system and contains the input data used on the national level
Multidisciplinary state-of-the-art in lifestyle transformation researchThe report summarizes social science best practice in proclimate lifestyles and behavioural change and details the scientific knowledge gaps The three perspectives outlined in Task 31 are each addressed in the report
Continuous data analytics protocolsSummarizes the process and final outcomes of Task 5.2, including documentation for the open-source usage and adaptation of the data analytics tools under FAIR principles.
Report on the updated system models in mobility and residential demand and their resultsThis report incorporates the results of Tasks 6.1 - 6.3 and includes an explanation of how the models are improved through empirical data and social science insights, scenario results, and an interpretation of the results. Additionally, the gap analysis internal report is included as an appendix, and updated (consumer-related) input data are made available in public repositories following FAIR principles.
Report on participation and engagement with the goal-setting networkThis report will provide a description of the recruitment and engagement plans used and their effectiveness at bringing citizens into the goal-setting network and become an active part of it. It will elaborate differences between countries and LCs, draw conclusions regarding which recruiting/engagement measures were most effective, and reflect on the discussions of the three workshops under Task 4.3. The public versions of D4.1 and D4.2 will be released as appendices to this report for full transparency of the activities done for recruiting and engaging citizens.
Local policies, actors, and lifestyle transformationThis document distills the process and knowledge creation in Task 7.1 and the information in D7.1 for public release. It serves a two-fold purpose, first it provides generalized local policy options and supporting evidence of how to foster the adoption of climate-friendly lifestyles. Second, it distills climate and behavioral science insights in relation to local actors. As such, it is the final output of CAMPAIGNers that directly targets municipal audiences and the follower cities and includes a policy brief.
Comprehensive mapping of individual behaviour to anthropogenic GHG emissionsThe report maps the characteristics of citizens to their carbon emissions, including regional differences and global trends. The report flags those characteristics that are likely associated with vulnerability in line with UN definitions and lists points-to-be-considered in policy making, such as co-benefits.
