The EU-funded WinWind project will be organising a conference in Berlin, Germany, on 27-28 February 2020.
27 February 2020 - 28 February 2020
Wind energy will play a key role in transitioning to a low-emission society, yet its deployment can result in polarised debates and local tensions. The WinWind conference will provide a review of what influences wind energy’s social acceptance. It will also present replicable measures and effective drivers for overcoming challenges, based on the project’s experiences in six European countries.
Additionally, the programme will draw on experiences gained from the German Energiewende (energy transition). Along with experts from the WinWind consortium, attendees will include policymakers and individuals from the research community, businesses and civil society.
