Objective
Trans-European populations of OTA producing fungi will be identified and characterised, their infection cycle will be described, especially in relation to their ecological requirements. In order to define the sources of contamination, the ecological conditions favourable for fungal infection and OTA production will be described and possible preventive actions will be studied. Corrective action will also be taken into account during grape storage and/or processing. Field data will be processed following a geostatistical approach for draw risk maps. Decision Support System (DSS) will be elaborated to optimise preventive actions.
