Objective
The project aims to develop an innovative, efficient and modular air quality management system in-vehicles able to provide a healthy, comfortable and safe environment for driver and passengers. The new system is based on the destruction of gaseous pollutants using an innovative plasma catalytic process and the removal of fine aerosol particles with an advanced electrostatic technology The developed compact air conditioning prototype for vehicles will be equipped with an advanced air monitoring system and enhanced driver/vehicle interfaces for air quality awareness and preventive maintenance information. On-board prototypes will be first tested in automotives. However, the technological approach may concern other kind of mobile cabins (buses, trucks, rails, aircrafts,...).
