Project Website and Logo

The project website already reserved under the domain wwwepiquseu will be setup and the project logo will be created agreed and voted among all partners

Industrial advisory board

The exploitation team will prepare the plan and update it every 6 months according to advices from the Industrial Advisory Board A development and industrialization roadmap of the EPIQUS device and the technology will be prepared and regularly updated as the project evolves The roadmapping will be also based on monitoring the market and assessing the requests coming from it on a regularly basis

Effort for at least 30 of appointees to be women

The final QS-device, tested against a known benchmark

Set the system to model a complex spin-frustrated molecule (benzene, 6 photons) or spin lattice and to perform a quantum simulation with photonic states in order to benchmark the device. Physical insights and comparison with other calculations will allow to test the accuracy of the results.

Summary dissemination and communication activities

The dissemination and communication activities will be summarized and updated in view of the advancements of the progect WPs and results

Proof-of-concept Quantum Simulations

Integrated laserwritten waveguides structures UROS and fibernetwork architectures UNIVIE will be used for QS experiments of initially 6 entangled photons for quantum transport experiments as well as the quantum simulation of small molecules benzene Further the experiments will be extended to larger number of photons 8 and up to 16 for random walks in higher dimensional Hilbert space and Heisenberg 4x4 lattices Results will serve as input for setting the integrated photonic architecture in T24

Fully functioning QS-prototype interfaced to the software

1. Testing the whole integrated system to verify the compatibility both in terms of input-output and single module functionalities. Develop an electronic board to drive the EIC wired Q-PIC. Input from specification of the analog circuit. Development of a software interface to allow an easy system control. 2. A first simulation, within a range of input parameters, allowing a software emulation of the QS, will be carried on. The results will be validated with respect to the software theoretical calculation. Important is the estimate of the reliability of the QS results with respect to the classical benchmark.
