The project will maintain a website (part of Europeana Pro) that will act as a portal for the communication activities. In M1 a page will be made public to advertise and announce the project. The website will be maintained throughout the duration of the project and content will be contributed by all project partners

This deliverable includes software release and documentation of the different components (database and API) in a github repository

Infochart describing the CHIs DSM-readiness Assessment Methodology

The infochart will serve as an introduction to the methodology to assess CHIs’ readiness-to-DSM in an easily accessible form that can be used as a training and communication material.

Final version of the web tool integrated in the participatory space.

A technical report on the structure and characteristics of data gathered, and of their sources, with a discussion of their usefulness and limitations, and with an organizational scheme that allows their effective accessibility into an Observatory platform.

Cultural Heritage Institutions and the Digital Single Market MOOC

A MOOC will be developed and hosted on edX where CHI professionals can learn how to implement the CHI Assessment Monitor to their organisations and will help to provide insights in their ‘readiness’ for the Digital Single Market. The MOOC is free and open to any learner but will be useful in particular for CHI staff who want to develop digital strategies for their organisation. They will be able to learn about IPR issues and relevant business modelling through the guidelines and instructional materials and will be able to apply insights on their own case study. They can exchange views with their peers

Translating the user needs and functional requirements specified by the different stakeholders into technological requirements. Defining the scenarios describing how users can interact with the inDICEs Open Observatory platform depending on their roles/rights and for different use cases

Guidelines for the best practices regarding the maximisation of the impact of digitisation of cultural heritage

A policy report addressing policymakers experts and professionals about the most conceptually and empirically supported and validated strategies to achieve a socially and economically impactful digitisation of cultural heritage in the future context of the DSM

Copyright chart model

Report detailing the technical and substantial processes associated with the creation of the copyright chart including an overview of the system of classification of the copyright capacity of the user divided in capacity tiers and the respective textual components redacted in the form of an overarching copyright guide for cultural heritage professionals with increasing levels of technical details depending on the outcome of the assessment

Methodology and definition of the inDICEs analytical toolbox

A technical report presenting and discussing the methodologies that have been selected as part of the project’s analytical toolbox and their potential and limitations of application.

Analysis and selection of participatory approaches a large amount of practices and participatory approaches will result from the research so a methodological framework for their selection is needed This report will contain a special section outlining the online capacity building strategy

Policy report on value chains of CHIs in Digital Single Market

A report on value chains of CHIs in DSM will be a result of the policy analysis (T 3.1) and will summarise all the conclusion and knowledge gathered.

Legal comparative analysis for multi-level relationship involving CHIs

Concrete specification of the IP legal requirements that need to be taken into account for the development of the parameters of WP1. The main focus will be on IP law and relevant legislative proposals at EU level such as the review of the Copyright Directive or the proposed Regulation for the free flow of non-personal data

An online document with guidelines for CHIs including such issues as change management digital transformation workflow optimization IPR implementation guidelines community engagement

Communication and Dissemination Plan

The Communication Plan allows the project to identify and adopt specific communication strategies for each stakeholder group by analysing their interests and preferences. It will be in use by M2 and published in M3, being updated quarterly thereafter as an internal reference with highlights included in the annual project report (D6.1) Contents include: (i) performance metrics of various dissemination channels (blog posts, tweets, etc, as well as more traditional dissemination outputs such as white papers, conference papers, scholarly articles). (ii) overview of events attended (iii) report on the status of collaboration with other DT-GOV-13 project and other related initiatives.
