Novel Electride Material for Enhanced electrical propulSIon Solutions

Deliverables

Report on endurance tests

To document tests results and data collection of the 800 hours endurance tests performed on the NACES C12A7e cathode

Selection of best propellant candidate for endurance testing report

To document the results of the different propellant tests and the preferred propellant selected based on these results to execute endurance tests

Selection of Innovation Management Board

To select members of the Innovation Management Board that will debate on project results and will identify additional potential future projects to spread the application range of this project results and to increase TRL level of developed devices

Presentation of compatibility matrix

Characterisation of the pristine C12A7:e- material in terms of work function and extractable electron current densities in vacuum and after treatment in different environments, i.e. Xenon, dirty Xenon, Krypton, Iodine, Indium, and Bismuth as vapour or plasma in contact with hot and cold specimens for compatibility analysis.

Final report with ULP test results

To elaborate the final report with test results of the 3 test runs execution 3 months each

Report of NACES cathode characterization and electron emission

To document the results of the NACES C12A7:e- cathode characterization and electron emission test campaign.

Data Management Plan

To elaborate and update the Data Management Plan of the project, indicating which data will have open access and which will have only limited access. Postponed one month wrt original date in proposal.

Cathodes performance and endurance analysis report

To elaborate a document describing the outcome of the endurance testing of NACES and hollow cathode with best alternative propellant accompanied by regular materials characterization and materials analysis of the cathode device elements heater emitter tubes cables etc

Web site available

NEMESIS project web site available to general public. Postponed two month wrt original proposal date
