Macro-economic impacts of low-carbon transitionThe deliverable will describe the outcome of the macroeconomic analyses of the energy scenarios in Open ENTRANCE MacroEconomic indicators in terms of GDP and welfare distribution will be discussed The report will include comparative assessments of the macroeconomic results from two models REMES and EXIOMOD The deliverable will be written in task 73
Policy measures that address barriers and market failures in the low carbon transitionThe report will describe policy measures that address barriers and market failures in the low carbon transition along three dimensions 1 a macroeconomic perspective 2 a hybrid topdown bottom up modelling framework to cover shortterm and longterm impacts as well as reciprocal effects of the energyeconomic system and 3 the social perspective by considering stakeholder perspectivesThe report will be written within task 75
Illustrative case examples for the coordinated use of modelsWithin this deliverable all the case examples designed to illustrate the coordinated use of models will be functionally defined describing the set of models considered and the linkages to be implemented among them variables and parameters exchanged among these models Besides the context data and results for each case example will be also provided This deliverable relates to Task 53

Consistent scenarions for low carbon energy futures at pan-European levelD3.1 delivers consistent quantitative scenarios for low carbon energy futures at pan-European level. The involvement of stakeholder groups in this context is of vital importance, because these scenarios also set the boundaries for the scenario building exercises on several lower levels in Europe (country, regional, local level). Measure of success: Delivery of at least 3 (max. 5) quantitative pan-European scenarios D3.1 is allocated to Task 3.1
European storylines for low carbon futures of the European energy systemThe storyline description in D7.1 provides consistent narratives guidelines for scenario studies and use case analyses in the Open ENTRANCE project. This includes technology choice and innovation, socio-economic, other social sciences and humanities aspects as well as corresponding driving forces for them. Measure of success: If convergence among several partners can be achieved in terms of narratives/ guidelines and D7.1 can delivered in time (important, because it feeds into Task 3.1) D7.1 is allocated to Task 7.2
Data exchange format and templateThe data exchange format will be defined following established conventions in the scientific research community. (Task 4.2)
Case study resultsReport with the results from the 8 case studies M48 EDF this report under tasks 61 to 68 will be composed of 8 sections each one devoted to one case study For each case study it will detail the simulations that were performed the models and data used and outline main outcomes qualitative and quantitative results
Exploitation and IPR management strategy - final versionThe deliverable will describe the final Exploitation and IPR management strategyFor each result of Open ENTRANCE the knowledge generated by the project and the IPR status and exploitation strategy will be described The status and strategy will be in line with the involved partners ambitions and according to the Consortium AgreementThe deliverable is a part of Task 85
Communication and Dissemination Strategy I-IIThe Communication and Dissemination Strategy III will identify the most appropriate channels for the OpenENTRANCE project its results and objectives in report form M6 The strategy will be updated after the first half of the project M24 The report on use of dedicated social media channels will summarise the projects virtual outreach M24 T21
Definition and implementation of the interface between the models in the suite and the Common DatabaseThis deliverable aims to functionally describe the exchange of information between each model and the Common Database. In addition, within this deliverable, the results of the upload/download trial tests conducted to check the proper functioning of the link between each model and the Database will be reported, including any possible limitations to the amount or type of data to be exchanged. This deliverable relates to Task 5.2.
Open ENTRANCE Synthesis and RecommendationsFinal report on main findings and insight achieved in the modelling WPs experiences with the Open Platform and a summary of policy recommendationsThe report will be written in task 74
Platform innovation recommendationsFrom the experiences within the consortium and the stakeholder workshops the project will compile a detailed list of insights and ideas for future improvements of the open modelling platform These ideas will be used as starting point for implementation in subsequent research projects This will facilitate an efficient handover between development projects Task 44
The open modelling platform will be usable for scenario data exchange by consortium partners. This includes upload/download functionality, user rights management, data version control and visualization features. (Task 4.1) The integration with the postprocessing tool GAINS will be implemented and operational (Task 4.3)
Six workshops for scenarios building exercises, case studies and development for transition pathwaysThis deliverable includes six workshops: 2 for scenario building exercises (WP3), 2 for discussions of case studies (WP6) and 2 for development of Transistion pathways (WP7). Stakeholder Group 1 will be invited to the workshops. There will be an initial workshop in the beginning of each of the workpackages 3,6, and 7 to discuss the main research questions that will be explored in each WP. Next, there will be another workshop in the second half period of each WP to discuss preliminary results and to adjust the course of the research if necessary. The workshops are delivered in Task 1.2.
Project Management Plan - intial versionThe deliverable will be a Project Management Plan with a Gantt chart and a Work Breakdown Structure (WBS). It will be delivered in a first version in M2 and updated in M30. It will include a schedule per task, responsible partner related subtasks, related deliverables, and dependencies on other tasks. The deliverable will be developed in Task 8.1.
Three workshops for development of the Open PlatformThis deliverable includes Three workshops for Stakeholder Group 2 The workshops facilitate discussions between energy modelling experts to share experiences and knowledge related to modelling questions in general and with Focus on the Open Platform in particular The deliverable is a part of task 13
Bi-annual electronic newsletterAn electronic newsletter in months 7,13,19,25,31,37,43,48 will be sent out to the OpenENTRANCE-community and will inform about activities, results and upcoming events. A report in M48 will contain all sent out newsletters. Sign up will be possible over website. (T2.4)
Workshop in the European ParliamentThis deliverable is a workshop held at the premises of the European Parliament. In this workshop the results from Open ENTRANCE will be disseminated directly to those who will decide about the NeXT steps in creating the Energy Union.Task 1.4 will provide this deliverable.
"Definition and implementation of the upgrades to a selected subset of models in the suite to make them ""open-source"""Within this deliverable, first, appropriate coding guidelines to be applied to make models open will be provided. Then, each model in the suite will be classified according to its degree of openness. Lastly, those changes implemented in each open model will be described. This deliverable relates to Task 5.2.
Energy modelling conferencesThis deliverable includes hosting EMP-E 2020. The conference will provide a platform for personal engagement of energy modellers and model users across sectors (EC, civil society, researchers, modelers etc.). This deliverable also includes organisation of the project’s final conference. The conferences will take place in M49. (T2.5)
Visual identityThe project’s visual identity (website, logo, leaflet, brochure, publication and presentation templates) will be ready (M6) and help dissemination activities. The website will be continuously updated during the project’s duration. (T2.2)
