Quarterly newsletters, social media posts and updates

This deliverable is made of two parts. (1) A regular, quarterly newsletter will inform stakeholders about news, events and recent publications. This will be a publication that is focused on a particular theme (often lead by the researchers and experts of a work package), offering both editorials and opinion articles, as well as short research info sheets. This part of the deliverable consists of multiple newsletters, which will be produced from M03 to M33. On an annual basis, at M12, M24 and M36, the newsletter will include information (title, date, location, content) on significant events (conferences, seminars, workshops) which will be organised by MICS. (2) Posts and updates on various social-media channels, aimed at reaching out to wider public and getting them interested in the project and its results, as well as keeping stakeholders up-to-date with the progress of the project. This part of the deliverable consists of multiple posts and updates, which will be produced from M01 to M36.

MICS corpus of knowledge

A corpus of knowledge tagged, referenced and critically reviewed through both traditional and open, peer-review, including the review criteria and the questionnaires

Impact-assessment methodology and indicators for citizen-science research ready to be used in the toolbox

Novel impact-assessment methodology and indicators ready to be applied to a diverse range of citizen-science challenges in the context of NBSs. Methodology and indicators will be built based on the requirements of the call and on the feedback received from the impact assessment, including the review criteria and the questionnaires.

NBS-science briefs

Four NBS science briefs focusing on 1 general recommendations 2 Western Europe specific recommendations 3 Southern Europe specific recommendations and 4 Central and Eastern Europe specific recommendations The NBSscience briefs will be addressed to policy makers to deliver the results in a concise rigorous way ensuring they can be easily translated into actual policies At the same time their form should enable stakeholders in the NBS science and representatives of civil society organisations and NGOs to efficiently utilise MICS results in an integrated manner

A multilingual ontology

This multilingual ontology is related to the SDG domains and covers four languages widely spoken in the test and validation sites. The ontology’s vocabulary will be based, where possible, on EuroVoc, the EU's multilingual thesaurus [http://eurovoc.europa.eu/drupal/].

Multimedia resources and policy briefs presenting general and region-specific recommendations

Eight multimedia resources with subtitles in the relevant languages and policy briefs presenting general and regionspecific recommendations related to measuring the impact of citizen science

Project website

A website will be developed as a web-based platform for external communication and dissemination. This will include providing public access to project research and activities, reports and presentations, as well as published electronic newsletters.

Participatory, adaptive, personalised, information-delivery web platform, period-2 prototype (P2P)

Release of the updated web user-interaction layer with audio and video extensions, and a novel online forum on the topic of citizen-science impact evaluation. The platform will be updated at the end of the validation phase.

Participatory, adaptive, personalised, information-delivery web platform, period-1 prototype (P1P)

This deliverable includes the period-1 prototype of the online toolbox and the release of the web user-interaction layer. The deliverable will house the tools and technologies for measuring the impact of citizen science, technologies for automatic data discovery, storage and management, approaches for peer review and synthesis, technologies for mapping and advanced data visualisation. This deliverable also includes the style guide and the design document explaining goals, user roles, functionalities, and the technical documentation describing infrastructure set-up, and backlog of prioritised functionalities.

Toolbox for citizen-science research: accompanying documentation report

This documentation will be an iterative process to develop and validate the toolbox containing the tools and technologies of the technical framework supporting citizen-science research.

The MICS repository

A dedicated secure storage facility for the collected data, featuring a metadata scheme for common and interoperable data documentation.

Strategic plan for the exploitation and dissemination of the results (PEDR)

A clear strategy to the widespread dissemination of the project outcomes and deliverables; and the design of an exploitation strategy ensuring the long-term, post-grant sustainability and replicability of the outcomes and the expansion of the end-user base of the MICS platform. Detailed communication plan, and materials, including logos, templates for presentations, presentations about the project for the use of the partners. This deliverable will be updated and reported at each project meeting, from M04 to M36.
