Protocol for model use, scenarios and stakeholder engagement

D2.2 features a detailed protocol for organising the quantitative and qualitative work to be carried out in PARIS REINFORCE, including stakeholder engagement, scenario creation and use of models. The protocol will also define the modelling work and model inter-comparison exercises that will be undertaken, how the stakeholder engagement plan will be implemented and which tools will be applied to modelling outputs. It will also define which IAMs can be compared for each country or region and how the rest of the models can contribute to the overall exercise by providing more comprehensive information on issues related to the synergies and trade-offs of the Paris Agreement implementation.

A report on the second modelling assessment of EUlevel and MSlevel mitigation pathways in response to the revised global pathways

Report of models, tools and stakeholder knowledge

D2.1, associated with Task 2.1, will feature a detailed report with information on all models and tools, the information of which will also be available on the I2AM PARIS platform. This information will cover the regions, geographical extents, sectoral coverage, range of GHG emissions, mathematical foundations and structure, and main endogenous and exogenous parameters per model and main indicators, covering social, economic and ecological domains.

Report on scientific publications

A report on the scientific publications under the framework of PARIS REINFORCE, including journal articles, conferences, books, book chapters and Special Issues/Editions. The report will be updated in Month 36.

Socio-technical innovation system mapping

A report on the socio-technical background for at least three European countries and two non-European countries, based on technical innovation systems, system mapping, and/or multi-level perspective.

This will feature a documentation of the characteristics of all models used in WP5, as part of Deliverable D2.1, enriched with further detail.

A detailed policy brief, outlining which policy questions have been addressed by each model in the past, who commissioned them, and who they were targeting, ii) a brief description of key modelling features, and iii) the level of transparency of the modelling exercise (assumptions, documentation, etc.).

This will feature a documentation of the characteristics of all models used in WP6, as part of Deliverable D2.1, enriched with further detail.

Quality Management Plan

D1.1 will outline the envisaged actions from the Project Coordinator's and Quality Manager's side, as well as all WP leaders' side, to ensure that the project will run smoothly and that the deliverables will be of high quality and submitted on time. It will also describe in detail possible quality-relevant risks, which may manifest throughout the project, as well as the actions to mitigate these risks.

Stakeholder Council Mapping, based on innovation dynamics

This will be an enhanced database of the participating stakeholders, in which their role will be analysed by mapping their geographic level and sector of activity, interests and capacity to mobilise resources to facilitate or constrain decarbonisation

This deliverable will describe in detail the tools and procedures for engaging stakeholders across all work packages.

Project communication, dissemination and exploitation plan

A periodic report on the ways, in which our consortium can follow relevant research and novelties in the field and discover new approaches in what we are aiming to achieve through this project, as well as in which we can share the results so they are openly available and easily accessible. It will list different channels to reach the several target groups, such as preferred communication methods, a social media pack, relevant conferences where to meet them and raise their interest, identification of relevant media channels and synergies that could be created with other EU projects or networks. It will also include monitoring templates set for events, media work and others. This deliverable will be updated in Months 13 and 25.
