Lithium Balance aspires to become a key player in the future of electric vehicles (EVs) sector by launching in the market the new ICAB solution. The present feasibility study represents a key step towards the implementation of our overall innovation project, the main goals are (1) technical adaptation of the core solution to the requirements of the different market segments; (2) market analysis and potential business opportunities to target the automotive sector (EVs low and high voltage batteries); (3) prototype system maturation and demonstration; (4) ISO26262 ASIL C certification of the new ICAB. Through the large number of interviews and meetings with current and potential customers (such as, Toyota Tsusho and Zenlead) and strategic partners (Sensata and DELTA), we concluded that our new ICAB concept totally applies to the needs of the EVs market and it is considered a significant step forward over the current technical state-of-the-art in the sector.
During the reporting period the following was accomplished:
• Completed a market investigation including customers interview to detail the various aspects of the customers’ needs and pricing.
• Completed a competitor analysis.
• Defined the technical adjustments to accomplish with the different market segments and regulatory requirements.
• Delineated the process for ISO26262 certification of our ICAB system.
• Further development and enhancement of the business plan based on our findings during the feasibility study.

The concept and the impact were validated favourably through the feasibility study. The approach was upgraded in terms of market strategy resulting from the received coaching and international certification highly encourage to boost market acceptance and reliability.
