Risultati finali

System integration of S-BVT white box demonstrator

D7.5 will report on the integration of QAMeleon transceiver modules in a sliceable transponder onto a linecard-type subsystem including the communication interfaces with the extended SDN agent and the FPGA.

System integration of ROADM white box demonstrator

D7.6 will report on the integration of WSS prototypes into functional subsystems including the communication interfaces between FPGAs and SDN agents: i) the 1×24 WSS and the 8×24 TPA will be combined with COTS WSSs to form a reference CDCG ROADM architecture and ii) the fast 1x4 WSS will be assembled together with 1x2 WSS available experimental prototypes into a fast ROADM white box.

Field trial demonstration of QAMeleon's subsystems

D8.4 will report on field trial experiments of QAMeleon prototypes under real transmission conditions over TIM’s installed fiber plant, including both software-only and software-hardware integrated tests.

Report on the testbed setup

D8.1 will report on the testing methodologies and procedures that will be used to evaluate the QAMeleon components, subsystems and SDN software plugins in the laboratory and under field trials based on specific use cases that will be identified in WP2 and WP9 market studies.

Initial report on InP-to-Polymer coupling interfaces and early-generation EOPCBs

D6.1 will report on simulation studies for the design of the InP-to-Polymer and Polymer-to-InP interfaces, and the design of the Fiber-to-Polymer coupling interfaces required for QAMeleon prototypes based on commercial design software. This report will also include the design of the first and the second generation EOPCBs that will serve as test structures for the assembly activities and the evaluation of thermal dissipation studies.

Final report on system modelling and simulations

D26 will report on the final models of QAMeleon devices and their performance evaluation in system simulations as well as the development of a reliable simulation testbed for the indepth study of the behavior of QAMeleon subsystems when they operate in a realistic optical link

Initial report on Use Cases, System requirements & KPIs

D2.1 will report on: i) relevant use cases for QAMeleon’s developed technology in metro and core optical neworks based on representative configuration of EU network infrastructure, ii) network scenarios that will be evaluated experimentally in WP8 and iii) specified KPIs that will used throughout the project for the evaluation of the developed innovations of QAMeleon project
