Drone Critical Communications

Risultati finali

Final report on Standardization, Dissemination and Exploitation Activities

D6.2 will evaluate the outcome of the activities related to Standardization, Dissemination and Exploitation plans, mentioned in the PMP and lists the project contributions to standardization and regulation.

Mid-Term Report on Standardization, Dissemination and Exploitation Activities

D6.1 will provide an update on the activities related to Standardization, Dissemination and Exploitation plans, initially reported in the PMP. These activities are the dissemination achievements and it will quantify and list the project contributions to academic research. This deliverable will update the standardization and exploitation plan from the partners.

Reference simulation scenario (including public access to data)

A complete data set describing the reference simulation scenario including network layout, UAS mobility and traffic data, as well as path-loss data. A description of the data formats is provided.

Report of first drone flight campaign

D5.2 will provide the final report on the drone flight campaign and the obtained results. This deliverable will summarise the input needed for the data link radio and architecture simulations in WP3 (Software-based evaluation environment for aerial drone communication) and WP4 (Aerial communication system architecture).

Insights from simulation experiments on combined cellular-satellite UAS communication

Summary of the significant simulation results conducted on the basis of the realistic reference scenario. Appendix to D3.3: - Tools for the visualization of 3D geo-referenced simulation results - The tools for visualization of simulation results are ready for use by the other partners. - Demonstrator - A web-based demonstration of simulation results of the project ready for integration into the project’s web site.

Overall System architecture

This deliverable will describe the overall system architecture and serve as an introduction to the work performed in the frame of WP3 and WP4 where each of the sub-systems will be further detailed. The deliverable will also be used by WP5 in order to map, as close as possible, the system architecture. Three issues are foreseen for this document to maintain coherence with the developments performed in the frame of WP3 and WP4. The final issue will also include potential architecture adaptations as a result of WP5 findings.

Models for combined cellular-satellite UAS communication at system/network level

The deliverable describes the developed simulation models.

Cellular LTE/5G system concepts to provide optimal support for both terrestrial communications and high reliability UAS data links

The deliverable describes design solutions using the cellular LTE/5G system to provide optimal support for both terrestrial communications and high reliability data links to small UAS. Evaluation for selected system components are included. Radio evaluation result input from WP3 and WP5 are used.

Scenarios and Requirements – Update to D2.1

This deliverable is an update to D2.1 and it will allow to ensure the good quality and traceability of the requirements considered as a basis for the system and network activities in DroC2om, as well as allow for interoperability and re-use of the material by the SESAR programme.

Integrated cellular-satellite inter-system design solutions for high reliability UAS data links

Integrated cellular-satellite radio communication and system architecture concept The deliverable provides the integrated design of the cellular-satellite communication system. Evaluation of overall system reliability are included based on results from D4.1 and D4.2.

Overall System architecture – Update to D2.2

This deliverable is an update of D2.2, scheduled for M13. As D2.2 will include the architecture for the system concept as designed by our consortium, D2.4 will potentially adapt this architecture as a result of simulations performed in WP3 or measurements performed in WP5, to guarantee that the system architecture presented in D2.2 is not only aligned with the activities ongoing in the frame of WP4 on the subsystems and network level, but also that the outcome of simulations performed in the frame of WP3 are compatible with the system architecture concept produced by WP2.

Satellite system concepts solutions for high reliability UAS data links

The deliverable provides design solutions using the satellite system to provide high reliability data links to small UAS. Evaluation for selected system components are included. Radio evaluation result input from WP3 are used.

Scenarios and Requirements

The deliverable describes the operational scenarios to be considered by the project as well as the requirements that need to be taken into account to build the different sub-systems in the frame of WP3 and WP4. Two issues of the document are foreseen with incremental material in order to allow for a quick start of WP3 and WP4 at the beginning of the project.

Preliminary report of first drone flight campaign

D5.1 will provide a detailed report on the drone flight campaign and the obtained results. This deliverable will summarise the preliminary input for the data link radio and architecture simulations in WP3 (Software-based evaluation environment for aerial drone communication) and WP4 (Aerial communication system architecture).

Website of the project

The establishment and maintenance of the website for the project is under responsibility of Management, since it will be seen as an official interface to outer world, by promoting and disseminating both major achievements and public deliverables. Besides, a secured part will be made accessible to partners to facilitate coordination and sharing of information.
