Report describing the assessment of the continuous exploitation of the Demonstrator

Report describing the assessment of the continuous exploitation of the Demonstrator (lessons learned, solutions to encountered problems) (MF, based on input from all local user groups), including - technical improvement requests (beyond bug fixes) from users (including intermediate companies) to the Demonstrator development team (WP3) - functional improvement requests from users to the Demonstrator development team (WP3), and selection of the improvements to be implemented for the next version of the Demonstrator by the project management (MF, all partners). This information will be shared continuously through the project development in order to continuously improve the Demonstrator as much as possible.

Establishment and dissemination of the minutes of the General Assembly 1

Report on the outcome of the final event

A final European event will gather scientists and professionals involved in climate services, snow management, mountain tourism, as well as EC officials and stakeholders interested in follow-up activities in other sectors. D5.5 will provide a synthesis of the achievements of this final event.

Report on dissemination and exploitation of results

WP1 to 4 will generate data on snow forecasts development costs, market interest, added value for professionals, willingness to pay, etc. Work contributing to D5.4 will integrate all this information to develop the business model of PROSNOW, and propose different scenarios of deployment and exploitation, with associated costs and revenues (product types, prices, expected market share, type of structure exploiting the service, distribution channels, convergence with other products, etc..). The objective is to make a final decision on future commercial exploitation at the last project general assembly.

Review of ski resorts operating costs and market analysis

This deliverable will be based on collection and analysis of existing data on ski resorts operating costs including snow management practices, conducive to a market analysis of the PROSNOW concept. The first need is to get an overview of snow management costs regarding different kind of operations (grooming, snow sublayer making, maintaining a minimum snow depth, etc.) and their relative weight regarding different period of opening and the kind of clients (long or short stay, familial or sportive, etc.). This step principally relies on literature review and knowledge from socioeconomic partners. This will also be based on ski-lift companies’ economics to assess their capacity to pay for using a climate service such as the PROSNOW Demonstrator (to be completed for D2.2 and D2.3).

Economic analysis of PROSNOW products, first under the assumption that the product will provide the expected added-value, then using feedback from end-users testing

Economic analysis of PROSNOW products, first under the assumption that the product will provide the expected added-value, then using feedback from end-users testing (WP4)

Full data management plan and implementation report

D5.3 consists in an update of D5.2, taking advantage of developments and lessons learned during the course of the project.

Demonstrator and documentation V2

A final demonstrator version ‘v2’ will be developed, integrating and trying to solve most challenges. This v2 will be the starting point for future exploitation.
