RESTORATION OF THE DANUBE RIVER BASIN WATERS FOR ECOSYSTEMS AND PEOPLE FROM MOUNTAINS TO COAST

Livrables

Documentation of the selection of the Associated Regions

Report on the outcome of the call for Associated Regions describing the launch and dissemination, the received applications, the selection process and the selected regions.

Open call documents and third-party financing rules

Open call documents for Associated Regions and third-party financing rules approved by the PO and published on the project website and the Funding and Tenders portal.

Catalogue of action options to restore connectivity in the DRB

A catalogue of action options will be created to restore connectivity in the DRB including: (i) An overview of available assessment methods and connectivity indicators for longitudinal-lateral-vertical-temporal connectivity, to reveal what sort of data is needed to characterize the river basin from this aspect. (ii) Evaluation of longitudinal and lateral barriers, morphological alterations, water quality, floodplains and wetlands from recent projects and databases. (iii) Compilation of action options, good practices and experiences to restore river connectivity including recently implemented river and floodplain restoration projects, NBS, dam removal and sidearm reconnection studies, including incentivizing river restoration by eco-labelling them.

Project Management Plan

In the Project Management Plan working procedures and quality control is defined.

DANUBE4all Manual on Nature-based Solutions

The DANUBE4all Manual on Nature-based Solutions (NBS) will be applicable in river corridors and in the Danube delta for efficient mitigation of human pressures and natural risks as well as for the provisioning of other ecosystem services and the generation of options for economic benefits.

Data Management Plan (first release)

The Data Management Plan contains an overview of all data sets used and generated in projects. The Data Manager will be responsible for the Data Management. The Data Management Plan will be updated during the lifetime of the project.

Project website and social media package

The website will act as the “shop window” for DANUBE4all and in addition to outlining the objectives and goals and promoting the project and the Horizon Europe Programme it will support all project communication activities (including social media). As such it will include up to date news on project progress, upcoming events, links to parallel projects and incorporate a multimedia page with downloadable material for our stakeholders (academia, education, media, policymakers, citizens).
