Quality Assurance PlanThe Plan will describe a harmonised process of quality assurance for the activities conducted in the different WPs In order to have a consistent impact assessment after each of the actions activities it is essential to have one centralised quality assurance task management with appropriate performance indicators of action tasks The following cornerstones will be covered by this plan Appropriate performance indicators at action start process of monitoring qualitystandarts and processes for the permanent QA
PPEU initiative common and harmonized standards to data sampling, processing, analysis and storageThis report will follow up on several workshops hosted by DLR and provide the following common and harmonized standards to sampling processing analysis and storage of dataharmonise plastic litter collection and data processing of the initiative with EUwide efforts to establish a more standardised approach to plastic litter monitoring and categorisationagree on common standards to sampling data collection processing analysis and storage eg methods to macroplastics and microplastics data with open access of data on line with FAIR principles
Translated and adapted educational, outreach and sampling materials (most likely into Hungarian, Italian, Dutch, Spanish, Norwegian, Lithuanian, and Greek language)Building on WP1 and with MSAC that join the initiative identified DLR will translate the already existing educational outreach and sampling materials as well as the website and central data entry point into local languages Any requested cultural adaptions will aslo be provided in the translated documents Translation will be done for those countries joining the initiative If budget allows we will translate into further official languages of the EUThe translated materials and website will be reviewed in close cooperation with local partners to correct translations errors or unclear expressions All translated materials will be provided as downloadlink on the webpage
Report on Plastic Pirates’ dataDLR will support the post sampling phase and create a report on processed verified analysed stored and shared Plastic Pirates data which includes mainly a quantitative assessment of the number of uploaded macroplastic data sets processedthe number of FTIR spectroscopies performed short reports on MSAC results analysis along various indicators litter quantities and composition of litter on the riverside litter accumulation and findings of hazardous material on the river bank disposables on the riverside floating litter in the river large microplastics in the river 1mm potential sources of litter along the riverside etc

Promotion Brochure and Presentation „How to join the Plastic Pirates”DLR will continuously outreach and mobilize MSAC via relevant working groups conferences events and fora such as the European Research Area and Innovation Committee ERAC and the European Research Area Forum to join the initiativeTo better promote and convey the PPEU initiative and what is needed to join the initiative a promotion brochure and presentation How to join the Plastic Pirates will be developed The brochure will inform about the details of the initiative and to secure further support by the respective MSAC ministries
Toolkit for local partners including templates in Plastic Pirates design for communicating on the initiativeThis toolkit aims to support the communication activities of the local partners in order to ensure synchronisation of the various local and European communication activitiesMSAC are invited to develop and launch their own communication measures depending on countryspecific needs and preferences These communication activities are supported by DLR via templates and best practices examples from previous sampling campaigns In order to have a common action identity a Plastic Pirates corporate design kit is developed and communicated by DLR In addition DLR will support in settingup local Plastic Pirates social media channels in local language
The Data Management Plan (DMP) describes the data management procedures for all data to be collected, processed and/or generated in the framework of this action in line with the Guidelines on FAIR Data Management in Horizon Europe. The term FAIR describes a set of guiding principles to make data Findable, Accessible, Interoperable, and Reusable. This Plan will also concern all intellectual property management, such as dealing with partner’s background needed for the purposes of the action and granting access rights to partners, but also IP related issues concerning publications or dissemination of deliverables/outputs.
