Periodic Reporting for period 1 - NGI4ALL.E (Next Generation Internet for All Evolution - Growing a Sustainable and Inclusive Ecosystem)

Periodo di rendicontazione: 2022-07-01 al 2023-12-31

In its initial 18 months, NGI4ALL.E achieved significant milestones, demonstrating noteworthy progress towards objectives and KPIs. The project's adaptive approach facilitates effective responses to requests from the European Commission (EC) and NGI community stakeholders, focusing on awareness, collaboration, and critical aspects of the evolving digital landscape.

NGI4ALL.E commits to constructing an integrated, open ecosystem grounded in open source principles, aligning with key EC policy-driven efforts, including the Digital Service Act, Digital Market Act, Data Act, Chips Act, Cybersecurity and Resilience Act, and Digital Commons. The consortium guides stakeholders, promoting a holistic and inclusive vision for the Internet.

During the initial reporting period, the project concentrated on a comprehensive communication audit in March 2023, analyzing NGI4ALL's experience for strengths, weaknesses, and opportunities. Efforts were dedicated to establishing collaboration with NGI intermediaries, reaching out to new innovators, diversifying messages, and promoting better inclusion across the NGI program.

Continuous coordination among partners, the EC, and NGI projects, with regular General Assemblies and Communication Task Force Calls, underscores the project's commitment. Timeline adjustments, in close coordination with the EC, facilitated timely deliverables.

Entering the next phase, supporting the latest wave of NGI projects from Q1 2024, NGI4ALL.E remains dedicated to expanding impact and contributing to a more resilient, sustainable, and human-centric Internet. This transition highlights the project's agility in responding to dynamic changes in the rapidly growing ecosystem.

The initial 18 months lay a robust foundation, indicating areas for modification and addressing weaknesses. The project acknowledges the evolving personnel landscape, requiring adaptation and ramp-up time. Collaboration with NGI Unit representatives ensures effective management and continuity.
