The report will describe tools and methods available to marine and coastal planners for ML sources identification, assessment and remediation techniques.

Report on numerical modelling tools to support MAELSTROM removal activities in the demo sites

The report will include the results of the hydrodynamic models used to identify potential hot spots on the Venice demo site and its related maps as well as the initial calibration/validation results for the hydrodynamic/hydrological models for the Porto region demo site.

Second Interim communication and dissemination report

It includes all communication and dissemination activities carried out by all partners in the second reporting period, including final video and the realization of the E-technical brochure in English. The description of the clean-up campaigns is responsibility of VLPF.

Report on site identification and installation of the Surface Water Colum System in the Porto region

The report will describe the identified demo site in the Porto region and its characteristics to respond to all the technical requirements previously set out and to perform as an exemplary case study for plastic removal and ecosystem assessment

Ecosystem state and ML pollution assessment in the two demo sites (Lagoon of Venice and the Porto region)

The Report will include the results of the assessment of ML presence and the condition of the biological communities before the starting of the cleaning operations in the two demo sites

Summary of the up-dates of the communication and dissemination plan carried out during the project activities.

Creation and operationalization of a thematic working group on ML and Plastic Strategy

This report will summarize the results of the coordinating efforts and shared goals of the networking activities carried out in T7.1. The working group will transfer the acquired knowledge and engage with policy-forming and policy-implementing actors.
