Widening IST Networking Developmet Support - Latin America

Descripción del proyecto

INCO

The WINDS Latin America project aims at deepening strategic RandD cooperation between Europe and Latin America by building, starting from what already exists, a multinational and multistakeholder community that will involve a significant representation of the relevant European and Latin American actors (researchers, policy makers, users) that deal with technology applications. The project will: 1.\tBuild the observation, analysis and forecasting capacity required to identify key RandD issues on which to focus EU-LA cooperation, and key actors that shall be involved in international collaboration in the field;2.\tGuarantee that information on European RandD is promoted, disseminated and transferred to a large number of interested research, policy and practice actors in Latin America, therefore facilitating dialogue among policy makers, companies, civil society and the research community; 3.\tOrganize two research conferences in LA, two policy seminars in Europe and a final Conference to enhance the existing dialogue and cooperation with all Latin American stakeholders, uplifting European RandD relevance;4.\tEstablish a sustainable open consultation process that will lead to a roadmap for future RandD in an Latin America - Europe collaboration perspective5.\tCoordinate with other existing support actions in order to contribute to the building of a global support network (the WINDS global network) able to deepen strategic European cooperation at a global scale. The project will build on two EU successful support and networking projects targeted to Latin America (Eurolatis and @LIS ISN) and will develop in a complementary way with existing EU (i2010, eEurope, etc.) Latin American (eLAC 2007) policies.
