The European Symposium on Calcified Tissues is scheduled to take place from 23 to 27 May in Vienna, Austria.

The scientific programme has been designed to enable participants to enhance their knowledge of diseases of bone, basic bone biology and its correlation to mineral metabolism. Attendees will also be able to develop a clearer understanding of the interrelationship between basic research and clinical applications.

Highlights of the programme include:
- calcium signalling;
- uncoupling approaches for osteoporosis treatment;
