The project BIO-PLASTICS EUROPE addresses the topic “Sustainable solutions for bio-based plastics on land and sea” within the Horizon 2020 Programme, and focuses on sustainability strategies and solutions for bio-based products to support the European Plastics Strategy.

BIO-PLASTICS EUROPE  has received funding from the EU Horizon 2020 Programme, and supports the European Plastics Strategy by focusing on sustainability strategies and solutions for bio-based products. The 1st EBRN meeting took place in June 2020 and discussed past and current H2020 projects doing research related to bio-based plastics. Now we focus the discussion on the sustainable feedstock usage!

In order to improve the collaboration of researchers on this dedicated topic, the European Bioplastics Research Network organises its 2nd VIRTUAL MEETING. This time, the discussion will focus on the feedstock used for production of bio-based materials as well as the potential and availability of 2nd and 3rd generation feedstock on the market. In this event, you will have a chance to discuss and ask questions to researchers as well as to private companies in order to find out how they plan to implement sustainable usage of feedstocks in the future.
