Workshop & colloquia on critical infrastructure security in Rome

A colloquia on cyber-security for critical infrastructures in the area of energy will be held in the frame of the project ATENA (Advanced Tools to assess and mitigate the criticality of ICT compoNents and their dependencies over Critical Infrastructures), whose goal is to reinforce the resilience of sensitive services in Europe in terms of cyber-security.

Next April 10, a colloquia on cybersecurity for critical infrastructures will be held in the frame of the RIA (Research and Innovation Action) project ATENA (Advanced Tools to assess and mitigate the criticality of ICT compoNents and their dependencies over Critical Infrastructures), devoted to reinforcing the resilience of sensitive services in Europe in terms of cyber-security. The project is already in its final phase. The fundamental matters of debate in this colloquia are devoted to deliver understanding on how can an operator make better decisions when dealing with critical infrastructure cyber-security matters in the field of energy: oil & gas, grid/electricity, and water. The event will take place at the Department of Engineering of the University Roma Tre situated at Via Vito Volterra 62, Rome.

Apart from the intervention of key project partners, who will shed light on the achievements of the project, the colloquia counts with the participation of keynote speaker Dr. Luisa Franchina, president of the AIIC (Associazione Italiana esperti in Infrastrutture Critiche) as well as Dr. Silvano Bari, also from AIIC, who will chair a session. The industrial perspectives will be discussed with the participation of important players in the field such as Siemens among others. Finally, there will be a demo session.
