Hydrogen for Clean Transport Conference

The HYFIVE and H2ME projects will be showcased at the Hydrogen for Clean Transport Conference, in Brussels, Belgium on 22 September

22 September 2017 - 22 September 2017
Brussels, Belgium
The Hydrogen for Clean Transport Conference is a partnership between two of the EU’s flagship project, HYFIVE and H2ME, along with the European Commission’s Fuel Cells and Hydrogen Joint Undertaking, and will showcase the advances made by hydrogen technology in the transport sector, demonstrating its readiness for widespread commercialisation in Europe and beyond.

Running from 10am-4pm, the event brings together seven major global vehicle manufacturers: Audi, BMW, Daimler, Honda, Hyundai, Toyota, and Symbio, who will gather in Brussels to confirm their commitment to fuel cell electric vehicle (FCEV) deployment in Europe.

The morning session will give sector experts the chance to share their conclusions of the HYFIVE project and analyse the benefits of hydrogen technology as a means of furthering both transport and green policies. In the afternoon, the conference’s focus will shift to the H2ME project, the EU’s on-going hydrogen initiative. An expert panel will debate strategies for overcoming these challenges, outline the prospects for hydrogen in the transport sector, and present the way forward for FCEVs in Europe looking to 2020.
