Call for Proposals in Quantum Information and Communication Sciences and Technologies: QuantERA Co-funded Call 2021 is now open

QuantERA II ERA-NET Cofund in Quantum Technologies (QT) is a consortium of national and regional Research Funding Organisations supporting QT research. QuantERA II is supported by the EU Future and Emerging Technologies programme (FET). The funding organisations of QuantERA II jointly support European multilateral research projects with the potential to initiate or foster new lines of QT through collaborations exploring advanced multidisciplinary science and/or cutting-edge engineering.

QuantERA Consortium is pleased to announce the Call for Proposals in Quantum Information and Communication Sciences and Technologies: QuantERA Co-funded Call 2021. The submitted proposals are expected to be aligned with one of the two QuantERA cofunded call 2021 topics: 1. Quantum Phenomena and Resources (QPR); 2. Applied Quantum Science (AQS). The funded projects in both topics are expected to address one or more of the following areas: 1. Quantum communication; 2. Quantum simulation; 3. Quantum computation; 4. Quantum information sciences; 5. Quantum metrology sensing and imaging. The project consortia must involve a minimum of 3 eligible partners requesting funding in at least 3 of the following participating countries: Austria, Belgium, Bulgaria, Croatia, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Hungary, Ireland, Israel, Italy, Latvia, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Malta, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, Turkey. QuantERA aims at spreading research excellence throughout the whole European Research Area. Therefore, project consortia are encouraged to include partners from the widening countries participating in the call: Bulgaria, Croatia, Czech Republic, Estonia, Hungary, Latvia, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Malta, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Slovakia, Slovenia and Turkey. Partner Search Tool is available at: https://ncn.gov.pl/partners/quantera/ The total amount of funding dedicated for the call is 40M EUR, and the project duration is to be set at 24 or 36 months. A two-stage application procedure (pre-proposals and full proposals) will be opened for consortia composed of researchers from at least three countries participating in QuantERA. It is the Principal Investigator's responsibility to compile a single proposal and submit it via the Electronic Submission System (ESS), which will be available in April. We encourage the applicants to check the programme website regularly for updates: www.quantera.eu An online webinar will be hosted by the QuantERA Coordinator and the Call Secretariat, aiming to answer the questions related to the call. This will take place on April 13th 2021, 13:00-15:00 CET. The link to the webinar, along with the detailed information on how to register to the webinar will be announced on the QuantERA website.
