Applications are now being accepted by EOSC-Pillar for integrating thematic digital research service providers. Successful applicants will be included in the EOSC-Pillar project, allowing them to receive support in integrating their service(s) into the national catalogues, and eventually, the service catalogue of the European Open Science Cloud (EOSC). The open call is open until 28 February 2021, 23:59 CET. The project invites applications from institutions with interesting challenges to submit and bring new thematic services to enhance the portfolio of EOSC-Pillar and EOSC, while showing the scientific excellence and societal impact that EOSC could achieve. This offers a unique opportunity to connect with EOSC and to take part in the exciting EOSC-Pillar project. The applicants will get the result of the call for proposals in April 2021 and invited to attend a workshop mid-June 2021. Successful proposals will begin work on the 3rd of May 2021 and will subsequently receive support from EOSC-Pillar project experts. The EOSC-Pillar experts on FAIR datasets repositories and provisioning of different type of services will support the selected service providers to further advance their solutions and provide them with adequate support to on-board their services into the EOSC Portal. Selected service providers will be offered free to use storage and computing resources, e.g. HPC and data storage for archiving provided for by the EOSC-Pillar partners. To ensure better reproducibility, the source code used on computing platforms is archived in the Software Heritage Archive. EOSC-Pillar's task is to gather diverse services geared towards the long-tail of science in the respective national catalogues and integrate them with EOSC. Exposure through EOSC showcases your service and creates opportunities for new users to use these on-boarded services and paves the way for increased cross-domain, cross-border collaboration.
