INCREASE requests for participation – join the stakeholder committee
The research project INCREASE has officially started on May 1st, 2020. Funded by the European Union’s Horizon 2020 research and innovation programme, it will run over 5 years. INCREASE aims to enhance the management and use of crop genetic resources promoting the use of crop diversity in European agriculture. We will test innovative solutions focusing on four important Food Legumes chickpea, common bean, lentil and lupin. This will ease access to these crops and facilitate the use of their diversity, while developing new strategies for crop genetic conservation that could apply to other species. The project relies greatly on active community engagement to achieve its ambitious goal. Besides running a Citizen Science Experiment from February 2021 with the purpose to test a novel decentralised approach to the conservation and management of genetic resources, INCREASE aims to bring together a wide range of expertise through a dedicated Stakeholder Consortium. Are you a farmer, plant breeder, seed supplier or member of the food value chain? Are you a member of an NGO actively concerned with environmental, conservation, nutritional or agricultural issues? Are you running a school, association of citizens/students, gardeners’ association or botanical garden? Are you a teacher, researcher or actively involved in other EU or national related initiatives? Or are you simply interested in biodiversity, food security, environmental issues or novel food products? And would you like to be an active part of INCREASE? Then please join the Stakeholder Consortium to make INCREASE a success! Your engagement will give you full access to a wide range of activities. This includes training sessions, dedicated meetings, etc. In addition, you will have early access to INCREASE know-how, tools, data and results as well as opportunities to engage with the wider INCREASE community. We would be delighted to welcome you on board! All you have to do is confirm your interest by completing the short registration form here: https://pulsesincrease.eu/stakeholder-registration
