First Issue of Sea Change Project News Now Available

The first issue of the Sea Change project newsletter is now available to download from the project’s website: www.seachangeproject.eu.

Sea Change is a three-year EU H2020 funded project that aims to establish a fundamental “Sea Change” in the way European citizens view their relationship with the sea, by empowering them, as Ocean Literate citizens, to take direct and sustainable action towards a healthy ocean and seas, healthy communities and ultimately a healthy planet. The first issue of Sea Change Project News includes: an introduction to the Sea Change project; an interview with Sea Change project coordinator Jon Parr on the importance of creating a more Ocean Literate society and how the project intends to tackle the issue; an introduction to the concept of Ocean Literacy; Ocean Literacy in the news; some top tips for protecting the ocean; recent Sea Change events; and dates for your Ocean Literacy Diary. The Sea Change project is funded by the European Union's Horizon 2020 research and innovation programme under Grant Agreement n° 652644. The Marine Biological Association (MBA), UK is coordinating the project. AquaTT is the project dissemination partner. The Sea Change Newsletter was developed by AquaTT.
