International praise for CITyFiED innovation and impact continues with US ‘Smart 50’ Award

CITyFiED is honoured to be recognised as a leading international example of “innovative and influential” work in urban transformation by a panel of global city leaders. The awards are set to take place at the Smart Cities Connect conference and Expo March 26-29 in Kansas City, Missouri.

The project was selected as a winner alongside prestigious North American and international initiatives in the energy category - where the scale of CITyFiED’s renovation of more than 220,00M2 of living space and 2,200 dwellings impressed.

Fellow finalists include high tech, high efficiency lighting and connectivity solutions in Bhopal, India, Montreal, Canada and Brussels, Belgium; a sustainable redevelopment of San Francisco airport and an energy-efficient affordable housing complex in Philadelphia.
