Design and AI for sustainable and safe motorCYcles

Periodic Reporting for period 1 - DAICY (Design and AI for sustainable and safe motorCYcles)

Okres sprawozdawczy: 2019-07-01 do 2019-09-30

Problems:
Urban driving safety
CO2 emissions
Sustainable materials
Vehicle size and weight

Solution:
Tarform develops fully electric, zero-emission motorcycles, using sustainable materials and integrated AI technology platform for increased safety attractive to both men and women.

Society benefits:
Less CO2 emissions. Less injuries and death tolls.

Objectives:
Investigate technical, financial and commercial feasibility.
We studied the European market. The most important markets are Germany, Spain, Italy, France, UK and Sweden. There is a growing trend for sales of electrical two-wheelers supported by government incentives. Based on market studies and interest shown we will target individuals that work within technology, innovation and media with an income that is average to high, aged 30-45 living in big cities.

We have developed a communication strategy and interactive plans for targeted audiences supporting the further development and future market launch. The goal is to inform people what owning an electric vehicle actually means and position the company as an aspirational brand with core values: design, technology and sustainability.

We developed a technical roadmap preparing Tarform for European market introduction. Homologation is important, making sure the product is compliant with all regulations and standards. We identified a partner for the homologation process. We negotiated with known motorcycle communities enrolling potential test riders. Demand is proved by 1000 + sign-ups and media interest with 120 articles in international media.

We made an FTO analysis. We have identified the patent landscape - seeing what patents there are, the claims and who own them. Our IPR strategy is that if we have patentable results, we will file for patent as a first choice.

We developed a business plan including a commercialization strategy, compliance needed, time to market and revenue model. The scale-up potential has been described. We elaborated KPIs for the expected outcomes.

The project ran according to contract. We have found feasibility to continue. A 6-year financial forecast has been set. We will need extra equity to support our growth path.
Expected result: Introduction of the safest, smartest, most sustainable and unisex designed electric two-wheeler on the European market. By 2023, Tarform expects to reach additional revenue of €45M and create 80 new jobs. Financial return is feasible by year 4. Our estimated accumulated profit will then be €7.265 M.
