Community-driven Big Data Requirements II

Two documents summarising the community-specific use cases and business cases, data & user stories and the overall Big Data management requirements acquired from the relevant community building activities, for all the examined communities. The documents will elicit the information of all the relevant project activities, as they are described in T2.2 The 1st requirements elicitation document will cover at least 2 stakeholder groups out of the 7 societal challenges and enables WP3 to start the work on identification of enabling technologies and the overall platform architecture. The 2nd version of this document is the final version covering all 7 societal challenges and above to build the basis for the following WPs: 2-6.

Pilot Deployment I

The actual deployment of the pilot sessions. Three cycles of piloting are foreseen for Big Data Europe. Each of the cycles will incorporate eight (8) distinct sessions: A session for the Generic Big Data Integrator instance, and seven (7) sessions using a domain-specific instance of the Big Data Integrator.

Generic Big Data Integrator Instance III

A deployed Generic Big Data Integrator Instance. The instance will be used for general functionality and usability tests, while it will also target the Big Data community in general.

Domain-specific Big Data Integrator Instances II

Instantiations of the Big Data Integrator Platform for serving the needs of all seven (7) different domains examined within Big Data Europe. These platform instances will be provided to the relevant networking partners and will be used for executing the pilot sessions foreseen in WP6.

Second Big Data Integrator Platform Release

As D4.1, this release will integrate continuous work from all four tasks. At this stage a wide range of Big Data components will be available via the platform and the interfaces will be well harmonised. The Big Data Stack interface will contain workflow functionality for managing large-scale data workflows. The release will be widely and publicly announced.

Final Big Data Integrator Platform Release

As the previous deliverables, D4.3 will integrate continuous work from all four tasks in this work package. At this stage, the stack will contain a large set of components including third party components contributed by organisations outside and not closely affiliated to the consortium. The release will be widely and publicly announced.
