This is primarily an analysis tool for simulation and optimization of different aspects of an off-shore wind farm. It simulates the maintenance activities and related logistics of off-shore wind farms over a given number of years to estimate key performance parameters such as wind farm availability and operation and maintenance costs. The model was initially designed to target two main user groups: researchers and wind farm developers/operators. In the research area, the main application is the analysis of different operation and maintenance (O&M) strategies, including strategies for logistic support and wind turbine access.
